My review of Atlas Shrugged, Pt 1

I saw "Atlas Shrugged Pt 1" tonight and I am glad to report that they did a damn good job on this, even given the limitations of time & budget they were under. The casting, was, to say, flawless. Grant Bowler (Hank Rearden) is the guy you imagined in your mind as Hank when you read the book. Taylor Shilling (Dagny Taggart) was good, but Jsu Garcia in his 4 or 5 scenes stole it as Francisco D'Anconia. It's a damn hard task to cram 350+ pages of a 1000+ magnum opus and not lose the essence and flavor and this movie was up to it. I am really looking forward to parts 2 & 3. A few of the details that really shine for me: the Rearden anniversary party vs the Dagny/Hank/Wyatt celebration and Professor Akston's cigarette. They nailed it. I am happy.
