Cut finger
This is the dressing for my cut finger. I cut my finger yesterday folding my pocket knife. It took off a chunk about the size of a pink fingernail and about 2-3x as thick. It bled like crazy, so I went to urgent care and they cleaned it up for me. They put a pad on it that has agents in it that help clot the blood and will eventually help the skin patch itself up.

Glad you are doing better. That is really nasty AND in the way. Looks like your finger is very well protected.
