Update to the Afghanistan Christian trial

It appears that Germany and Italy aren't too impressed with the trial, including this from the German Development minister:
saying her government would do everything possible to save the life of Abdul Rahman.

The Bush administration is surprisingly weak-kneed on this, what with their being run by the Christian-right and all.

To my way of thinking there is something very wrong about a religion that wants to kill people who leave it. And I mean ANY religion. Smacks of the Inquisition, the crusade against the Cathars, etc. That one person who has converted to a different religion says that he is huge threat to that religion - if so then the religion isn't very strong or secure to withstand a defection.

Glad we spilled our blood so the Taliban could return.
