I certainly get all riled up about people deciding what my kids should or should not read. I should decide that. I can't recall ever telling you or Chris what to NOT read. I've never felt that being exposed to differing ideas, life-styles or religious ideas was going to corrupt you. I'm not sure I would want my 6th grader reading sexually explicit material (and I'm not sure that most 6th graders would want to read that type of thing anyway), but I wouldn't forbid a high school student from reading it. And let's not get carried away and try to regulate what everyone reads. I am adult who can make her own choices for reading material. I don't need the Christian right banning books because THEY don't like them.
