Helicopter parents killing their kids
Helicopter parents, because they prevent their kids from learning how to function in the real world, are getting their kids killed crossing the street.
I can't imagine not being allowed to cross the road as a 5th grader!

I guess I just don't understand helicopter parents at all. Our goal was to make independent adults of you and Chris. And to do that you had to be allowed to be independent children. If a child isn't allowed to take chances he can't learn about his own limits and the constraints the world imposes. And he can't learn consequences and taking responsibility for his actions.
