Virginia Postrel, author of The Substance of Style and The Future and Its Enemies (both of which I've read and loved) wrote this piece on the Detroit Historical Museum. She was not impressed.

Too bad she chose that museum to visit for cars. The Henry Ford Museum would have been better. I can see why she was disappointed. I'd have expected better.
