You know, it sounds like they are NOT punishing her for allowing the abuse. There are more than 2 people involved in this (our new Col. and England). Is anyone investigating the military intelligence (an oxymoron?) or other spy types who seemed to be wandering in and out of Abu Graib? I suspect that it was the intelligence community that encouraged the abuse. If you are going to beat/abuse prisoners to get information, you'd better do it in the setting of a dictatorship where you can quash news, not in the relatively open atmosphere of an American-run prison wherever it is located.
