The stores about the Air Force academy being turned into an evangelical Christian insitution are abound. However, the problem is much, much deeper than just at Colorado Springs.

That is positively scary. I hope the country can survive the rest of the Bush's Christian Right term in office. Hopefully our next President will be far less narrow-minded and put religion back to the privacy of one's home and church rather than in the work place - whether military or civilian. I resent people telling me that what I believe (or don't believe) is wrong. Gee, that sounds familiar doesn't it? Like the Taliban (which you referenced) or the Islamic terrorists in the Middle East. The only difference is that the Christian Taliban stick to blowing up abortion clinics and doctors who perform them rather than randomly terrorizing everyone. Such intolerance is frightening.
